Architectural Detailing

Mouldings, London

The objective was to seamlessly integrate bespoke skirting, architrave, and shelving elements that would resonate with the apartment’s Art Deco-inspired aesthetic.

The Challenge

The design needed to reflect the building’s stylised glamour, exceptional craftsmanship, and geometric precision, while maintaining a refined sense of functional elegance. Additionally, the interior decoration, managed through our sister company Pinnacle Building, required a harmonious blend of vintage and contemporary details to create an inviting space with a natural flow that radiates warmth.

The Solution

To address these challenges, custom skirting and architrave profiles were meticulously crafted, reflecting the soft curves and rounded silhouettes characteristic of the Art Deco period. Bespoke shelving units were crafted to serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, providing display spaces that complemented the apartment’s curated collection of unique antique pieces.

The existing flooring was lightened to suit the updated aesthetic, blending seamlessly with the new design direction. High-quality, custom-made materials were used throughout to ensure a flawless finish and enduring craftsmanship.

Pinnacle Building oversaw the interior decoration, thoughtfully layering textured wall finishes and selecting statement vintage items – such as a 1936 maple wood grand piano and a 300kg 19th-century marble urn, to anchor the design in history and artisanal detail.

The Result

The completed apartment showcases a masterful blend of influences with a contemporary twist. The bespoke skirting, architrave, and shelving seamlessly integrate with the overall design, enhancing the apartment’s storied elegance. The interior decoration achieves a gallery-like atmosphere, where each element contributes to a cohesive narrative of refined luxury and historical homage.
